The I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar is responsible for conducting counselling for B.Tech courses in Punjab. Punjab B.Tech counselling 2021 will be conducted in several rounds. Information

  1. Fee Payment - Candidates need to visit the official website at ptuadmissions.nic.in and click on the link to Punjab B.Tech counselling 2021. They will have to pay the requisite participation fee of Rs 2000 for PTU counselling 2021. The payment can be made in online mode only.
    1. Registration - After paying counselling fee, candidates have to register online for the Punjab B.Tech 2021 counselling. Candidates have to enter the required details like JEE Main 2021 roll number, email address, mobile number, rank, name, date of birth, category, etc. and submit.

    2. Choice Filling - Candidates have to choose their preferred colleges and courses in which Punjab B.Tech admission is sought. During the choice filling process, candidates are advised to fill the maximum number of choices to enhance chances of being shortlisted. They will also have the option to rearrange or delete their choices.

Eligibility Criteria

 

Domicile Rules

  • 85% of B.Tech seats available under state quota will be applicable for the residents of Punjab state.
  • Candidates competing for B.Tech admission in Punjab under state quota must have passed Class 12 from any recognised school located in Punjab.
  • Candidates applying under state quota must submit Residence Certificate.
  • Children of central government employees working in Punjab (for two years) are eligible for B.Tech admission under state quota.

Academic Requirements

  • B.Tech aspirants of Punjab must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as the major subjects are eligible for admission.
  • The applicants must have at least 45-50% of marks in Class 12 to secure admission.
  • Candidates can apply for B.Tech admission in Punjab based on JEE Main merit/ 10+2 merit.
