Eligibility Criteria

Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate

  • The applicants must be Citizens of India.
  • The applicants must have passed HSC (Class 12) with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects. Apart from these two subjects, the candidates must have studied Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology in Class 12.
  • The applicants must have 50% of marks in Class 12 or HSC (45% for reserved and PH categories).
  • The applicants must have passed SSC and HSC or Diploma in Engineering from a recognised school or institution in Maharashtra state.
  • Candidates whose father or mother is domiciled in Maharashtra are also eligible for admission. These candidates must submit a domicile certificate.
  • The candidates must have a Non-Zero score in MHT CET.
  • Diploma in Engineering candidates can apply for second-year B.Tech admission through Lateral Entry Scheme.

All India Candidature Candidates and Jammu & Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates

  • The applicants must be Citizens of India.
  • The applicants must have passed HSC (Class 12) with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects. Apart from these two subjects, the candidates must have studied Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology in Class 12.
  • The applicants must have 50% of marks in Class 12 or HSC (45% for reserved and PH categories).
  • Students from any state can apply for B.Tech admission in Maharashtra.
  • The candidates must have a non-zero positive score in MHT CET.
  • Diploma in Engineering candidates can apply for second-year B.Tech admission through Lateral Entry Scheme.

 

Seat Allotment Procedure

The seat allotment is done post the completion of the MHT CET 2019 counselling, and it takes place in three rounds. Given below is the detailed seat allotment process:

Filling and Confirmation of Online Option: After the release of the final merit list, all the eligible candidates will be allowed to fill online option form on the official website. DTE will release the list of colleges, B.Tech courses and seats on the website, and the candidates are allowed to choose a maximum number of options to improve the chances of admission. The candidates can fill a maximum of 300 choices. After choice filling, the candidates must confirm the option entry form. Once confirmed, the candidates cannot edit the same.

Display of Provisional Allotment and Final Allotment: Based on the preferences filled by the candidates, MHT CET merit/ Order or Merit/ Previous Academic Record, the admission authority will release a provisional allotment list to give candidates an idea of their allotment. Within a couple of days, the admission authority will issue the final seat allotment list, and the candidates who secure admission must report to the Reporting Centre to confirm the admission.

CAP Round I, Round II and Round III: DTE Maharashtra conducts three rounds of CAP, and the process for all the rounds is the same as mentioned above.

Accepting or Rejecting the Allotment: If the candidates are allotted seat in a college as per their first preference in the option entry form, they will have to report to the Reporting Centre and confirm the admission. These candidates are not allowed to take part in subsequent rounds of CAP.

On the other hand, if the candidates are not allotted seat as per their first preference, they will have a chance to accept or reject the allotment. If they wish to reject the allotment, they can choose to take part in subsequent rounds of the admission process.

Reporting to Institute: After confirming the admission through RC, the candidates must report to the respective engineering college with all the required documents. The college will upload the admission details of the candidates on the server. The admission process completes with the fee payment.
