Read MoreKerala B.Tech admission procedure starts with the preparation of a merit list of the candidates who have qualified KEAM entrance examination. The KEAM merit list for B.Tech admissions in Kerala is prepared by considering the following factors –
KEAM Cutoff: Students belonging to the General category must score a minimum of 10 marks in the KEAM entrance exam to be considered for the admission. Students who score less than 10 marks in the entrance test will not be allocated rank in the merit list. These students are not eligible for CEE Kerala Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for B.Tech courses.
For SC/ ST categories, there are no minimum qualifying marks for admission procedure. However, a student who fails to answer at least one question in KEAM will be disqualified for the admission procedure. In all, SC/ ST candidates must have a non-zero positive score.
CEE Kerala will publish category-wise provisional category lists for B.Tech admissions. The list is prepared based on the communal reservation policy of the state government.
CEE Kerala conducts the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for B.Tech admissions. Candidates who are included in the KEAM rank list are eligible to register for the counselling process. There is no separate application form for the Kerala B.Tech counselling process, and there is no registration fee for the same. Students with a valid KEAM score can register options on the official website of CEE Kerala. Different stages involved in Kerala B.Tech counselling process is elaborated below –
Procedure for Registering Options: Students who featured in the KEAM rank list can directly proceed with registering options on the official website of CEE Kerala by following the steps mentioned below –
Rearranging Option Entry: The candidates can rearrange the options as many times as they can within the stipulated scheduled. Whenever the candidates change options, they will have to save the options and log out.
Trial Allotment: CEE Kerala will conduct the Trail/ Mock Allotment before the final seat allotment. The trial allotment will give an idea about the chances of getting admission in colleges that were selected by the candidates as the first preference. The trial allotment is just to give an idea, and there is no guarantee that trail allotment and final allotment will be the same.
The initial process of CEE Kerala CAP for B.Tech courses will be completed with the registering options and trail allotment. The next stage is the seat allotment.
