Information

  1. will be held by APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council OF Higher Education) in online mode. To appear for AP EAMCET counselling, candidates have to first register online and then they need to appear in person at the Helpline Centres. AP EAMCET 2021 counselling comprising payment of processing fee and document verification will be available for each round of counselling.

    Candidates have to make payment of Rs.1200 (for OC/BC) and Rs. 600 (for SC/ST) online by credit card/ debit card/ or net banking. Candidates who pay the registration fee will only be considered for Certificate Verification at Help Line Centres (HLCs). Based on the ranks obtained in AP EAMCET 2021, candidates will have to appear for AP EAMCET counselling. After the counselling process, candidates will be allotted seats in the participating colleges of AP EAMCET.

Admission Procedure

All the candidates who score minimum qualifying marks in AP EAMCET are considered for Andhra Pradesh B.Tech admission procedure. More details with regard to B.Tech admission process in Andhra Pradesh are elaborated below.

Qualifying Marks for AP EAMCET 2020: Candidates belonging to General Category must score a minimum 25% of the maximum marks in order to secure eligibility for engineering admission in Andhra Pradesh. For SC and ST category students, there is no minimum qualifying mark in AP EAMCET prescribed. These candidates must secure a non-zero score in AP EAMCET.

AP EAMCET Ranking Procedure: The candidates must have an EAMCET rank in order to register for the counselling process. The admission authority shall rank the candidates based on their AP EAMCET normalised marks. During the normalised process, 75% of weightage is given for AP EAMCET score and 25% of weightage is given for Intermediate (+2) percentage. Rank obtained in AP EAMCET is valid for engineering admission in Andhra Pradesh.

Preparation of Merit List: APSCHE will prepare a merit list that includes the names of all the candidates who qualified AP EAMCET as per the minimum eligibility marks prescribed by the admission authority. While preparing the merit list, rank and normalised score of the candidates will be considered.

If more than one student secures the same combined score, the admission authority will resolve the tie as follows –

  • The total score secured in AP EAMCET
  • The total marks scored in Mathematics at Intermediate level.
  • The total marks scored in Physics at Intermediate level.
  • Aggregate marks scored in Intermediate public exams.
  • If the tie persists after considering the above factors, the older candidate (based on the date of birth) will be given preference over the younger.

Eligibility Criteria

  • To be eligible for AP EAMCET web-based counselling 2021, candidates have to qualify in APEAMCET 2021 examination and obtained a rank
  • Should pass in 10+2 or its equivalent examination
  • Other Category (General) candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks (44.5% and above) in group subjects
  • Reserved category candidates [BC/SC/ST] should obtain 40% marks (39.5% and above) in group subjects.
  • All candidates should have completed 16 years of age as on December 31, 2021

Seat Allotment

The selection of candidates for B.Tech admission in Andhra Pradesh is completely based on the rank and normalised score secured in AP EAMCET. The reservation policies of the state government will be applicable to reserved category candidates, and equal preference is given to them during the selection process. The selection is based on the order of merit of candidates (refer admission procedure section above for more details).
