Accepted Entrance Exam

  1. GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam conducted by Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Education for admission in professional courses. B. Tech aspirants of Gujarat must clear GUJCET exam to secure admission in Gujarat engineering colleges.
  2. Private engineering colleges in Gujarat reserve 5% of seats for other state students, and these students must have a valid JEE Main score to secure admission. These students can only seek admission under management quota of private engineering colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

Domicile Rule

  • Students who have completed their schooling in Gujarat schools (Gujarat Board/ CBSE/ ICSE or any other equivalent board are eligible for B.Tech admissions in Gujarat. These students can compete for state quota or concession quota admissions. TFW scheme is also applicable to only these students.
  • Students whose parents are serving in the Gujarat government are also eligible for B.Tech admissions in Gujarat.
  • As per the above rules, Gujarat domicile students must clear GUJCET for B.Tech admission in Gujarat.
  • Students from other states are eligible for B.Tech admission in Gujarat with a valid JEE Main score. These students can apply through management quota of private engineering colleges.
  • Students from Union Territories such as Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli are also eligible for Gujarat B.Tech admissions under state quota.
  • Students who have completed Class 12 through NIOS from a study centre located in Gujarat can also apply for Gujarat B.Tech admission.

Academic Requirements

  • B.Tech aspirants of Gujarat must note that Class 12 with subjects such as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry is the minimum qualification required for B.Tech admission in Gujarat.
  • The applicants must have a minimum of 45% of marks in Class 12 to secure admission.

Seat Allotment Process

Mock Allotment: Mock round/ allotment is a trial procedure to have an awareness of choice filling procedure and seat allotment procedure. The mock allotment will also help the candidates to know the availability of the institute or course as per his/ her merit. The candidates can check the mock allotment on the official website. Now, the candidates can fill the actual choices or modify the existing choices for the final allotment.

Final Allotment: There is no guarantee that the mock allotment results and final allotment results will be the same. ACPC has released round 2 seat allotment results on the official website. Candidates must log in and check the seat allotment. Students who have been allotted seats and want to accept the seat with/ without upgrade need to confirm their admission by paying the fees. All such candidates have to download the admission slip from candidate login and pay the required fees.

Admission Confirmation: If the candidate gets a seat, he/ she must download the Information Letter and Bank Challan to deposit the tuition fees. The candidates must visit the designated bank to deposit the tuition fee for first-year B.Tech course. The candidates can also pay the fees in online mode by using credit card/ debit card or internet banking. After fee payment, the candidates must take the printout of admission slip.

The candidates who get seat against their priority can decline the seat allotment and take part in the next round of admission process.

Reporting to College: After admission confirmation, the candidates must visit the respective college with all the relevant documents.

Reservation Policy

  • B. Tech aspirants of Gujarat must note that clearing entrance test is mandatory to secure B.Tech admission in Gujarat. 5% of seats in all engineering colleges across the state are applicable for students who apply under Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) scheme. In all, there is an adequate number of options for engineering aspirants in terms of the number of engineering colleges across the state.

    ACPC has the authority to fill 100% of seats in Government Engineering Colleges and 50% of seats in Private Engineering Colleges across the state.
